PACS P7P 11 Months ago Karma: 0
The manager of Imaging Services has decided that after almost four years with PACS it is time we put into writing some of the policies and procedures here at our facility. This is a daunting task. I know that OTech sellls a ready-made P&P manual but I have not been given the go-ahead to purchase it. I guess my question is this: Has anyone purchased that CD and was it helpful? There is not a lot of help online. I have found some articles and powerpoints online but hate to spend my time re-inventing the wheel. PACS is such a large undertaking that I am sure to forget facets while developing my manual. I would appreciate any help or direction that any of you could provide.

Thank you.

I have used the OTech P&P manual and I like it. The primary reason that I like it is it makes you consider all the aspects of PACS that require policies and procedures. When you are sitting there trying to think whether or not you have covered everything, it is extremely helpful. All the polices are alerady pre-built and for a majority of them, you can simply add your anme and log after reviewing the document. Others, you may have to re-write, but the basics are there.
